LaLiga Returns to Free-to-Air TV in Spain with RTVE

Laliga will return to free-to-air television in Spain after confirming a new broadcasting agreement with public broadcaster RTVE.

The deal will allow RTVE to air selected LaLiga matches each season on its free-to-air channels, giving fans across Spain access to top-flight football without the need for a paid subscription. It marks the first time in years that LaLiga games will be available on free television nationwide.

The agreement is expected to include one featured match per matchday, alongside highlights and related programming across RTVE’s TV and digital platforms.

LaLiga says the move is aimed at increasing the league’s visibility and reconnecting with a wider audience, while RTVE strengthens its sports offering with one of Europe’s most followed football competitions.

The new arrangement will take effect from the upcoming season.
